			<description><![CDATA[ <p>I have a field trial this past weekend, so I packed up Quinn and Trav Saturday morning and off we went.  Both boys were ridden 4-5 hours on Saturday, and
when untacking, I found 3 lumps on Quinn between his front legs and in front of the girth.  they were about the size of a quarter each and kind of hard.  We
put absorbine on them and put the boys in the barn overnight.  Quinn ate fine evening and morning, but when I pulled him out of his stall around noon to saddle

			<description><![CDATA[ <em> <strong>Ok this is my baby !! Smokey got her back right leg hurt.  I Brought her home fron vet &amp;started using 24 hour sweat raps and water therapy for
30 min in afternoons and then ice  packs for  30 min. then heat rap for 24 hours. I just started lightly riding her again ... She is finely sound and not

			<title><![CDATA[ Bowed Tendon.....not Trav ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ Last weekend a fellow field trialer saddled up one of their horses, rode for 10 minutes (in icky, wet muddy fields), and the horse came up lame.  They staked
him out, kept an eye on it for the week, the swelling didn&#39;t improve so had the vet out the following weekend.  He said bowed tendon.  Tells them to turn
him out for a minimum of 6 months.

How does this happen?  And how can it be avoided??  Trav coming up lame is one of my biggest fears.   I only have 1 horse, and without... ]]></description>

<p>     We have had our horses barefooted now since November. They seem to be handling it well. My are totally natural, barefoot, bitless, and treeleess. But
the Farrier came by yesterday for their 7 week trim. My horse had no growth at all he  is wearing down what he  grew.  He just rasped the foot. My husbands
horse was able to nip a little off. We have not been riding execpt like once a week.  When we do my horse gaits well. Neither of them feel ouchy. He is

Please look at these pictures. You&#39;ll see that the shoe is no longer in alignment with the hoof wall. In both cases, it has been 5 weeks since the last
shoeing. Do you think the misalignment is simply a result of an overgrown hoof, or could it be an indication that the shoe was not properly shaped to the foot

			<description><![CDATA[ My mare started tripping (and NOT gaiting) since the shoer did her feet early August. He came out on Tuesday and put her at 52f/54r and triple checked them. I
really don&#39;t know squat about whether she&#39;s on target or not. Can some of you please take a look at these pictures and tell me if her angles look ok
and in general if it looks like he did a decent job?

call the vet, who said to try the Banamine.  John then called back to say the horse was down, flat on his side and breathing hard!  I rushed home just after
John gave him a shot of Banamine.  Fire! promptly got up and pretty soon wanted to know where his food was.  You know, I was up brushing this horse at 1:30pm
