Something weird with the truck/trailer

OK, I have a brand new Toyota Tundra with the tow package. Installed the trailer brake. Everything seems fine, but when I drove it today I noticed this sort of rythmic surging forward as I drove. Nothing dramatic, but definately present. It's not the engine, I'm pretty certain. Usually with hauling things like this there is a simple explanation, I just don't know what it is. I knew there were plenty of folks on here who have years of hauling experience and might be able to...

Ron is ok from back surgery

He had the back surgery yesterday and came home this afternoon. He is doing well although having some pain. Good drugs help a lot! He is very tired and taking a looooooooong nap!

Homemade chicken noodle soup and homemade French bread for dinner...good medicine.

I might as well start taking the razzing now. As some of you know, I've been down in Ft Worth this week dealing with my father's death (Died Tues morning and buried Thursday). I've been here since the wee hours Monday morning. I got up this morning to head home and Truck wouldn't start. It appears that the motor locked up... Can't figure out how as it was running when I turned it off (never got hot etc). Will have to have it hauled back to Springfield and deal with it...

Before we went on vacation-- Mike had a job for a day-- a very long day--

He was an extra in the filming of Secretariat when they were filming in Louisville!!

He was a Jockey's Valet and his job was to "help" the jockeys into the saddle. He was also in the crowd (along the rail) when they were filming the 73 Derby Scene.

Diane Lane is the owner-- John Malkivic (sp) is the trainer. Anyone that watches True Blood on HBO-- the guy that plays...

Our other Aussie, Cheyenne, has been limping so finally go her into the vet today. She has bone cancer. She also has a cough and they were thinking it might have spread to her lungs. We are taking her to the U of MO for a full workup. After Mocha, this is just overwhelming.

Very Sad Day for us

Mocha, our wonderful and funny aussie was savagely attacked by another dog yesterday. Today we just finished burying her. You can't believe how much this hurts. We are in shock.

We were visiting family and when we heard we drove all night to get home. It happened at the kennel where she and Cheyenne were boarded.

She was a good one with a big heart.

On the weekend of 8/21/09 my wife and I went to Athens Ohio to watch Chris Cox put on a training clinic. Wow can that guy train people and horses. There was 21 riders paid $1,300.00 for the 3 day clinic. It was supposed to be a intermediate clinic. There was to be about 100 auditors at a cost of $35.00 a day . I felt kind of sorry I didn't have to pay more. After all there is a recession going on now they keep telling us. People from as far away as Canada to Florida came to watch him....
